Thanks again to everyone for the support. The kitties on the web, and the people they choose to honor with their kitty presence, are just so great. We did get the bloodtests back...thyroid is down, but kidney is up. That is some good news,& some bad news. But it is partially due to the fact that I was convincing mom I was taking the Benazipril (kidney helping medicine) when in fact, I was hiding them in my mouth. Mom didn't find this out until she found a pile of the little white pills behind the curtain, where I was hiding them. (Crazy, but true.)Darn! So now she has started crushing it and putting it into my food. I'll have to find a way to get back at her. For now, however, she is forgiven, as she brought home a King Crab leg for me tonight, and I have to say, yum,yum,yum! Not supposed to have that much protein, but every once in awhile, an old guy's gotta have a little fun. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It's back to work for mom tomorrow, so I should at least be able to get a decent nap. (here's just a silly little video of me exploring my garden.)

Oh Tigger! Hiding your pills! Classy work big fella, what a bummer you got busted. I suppose it's kinda important that you take these pills. A crab leg!! That's the fuud of royalty 'round these parts, your Mum needs to give mine a lesson or two in cat treats. Glad the thyroid levels are good, paws crossed for the kidney levels improving now you are getting that medicine. We couldn't get your video to play, but that could just be our pc :(

Hi Tigger! Wow we thought that Kirzon was crafty with his pills - but hiding them behind the curtains - genius (though we think you should take your pills so you get better of course!) We think that if they are in a treat or food, it is ok to take them - and usually it will get you extra treats! If your mom hasn't tried them she should see about using pill pockets - most of us think they are super tasty (all of us but Kirzon) and will gladly take a pill with one!

Well, it was a neat trick until she found the pills...Mom's always pick up on dat stuff and we end up suffering fur it. Yoo really should take yoor meda-sin tho, that way it will make yoo fell better.

My cat is taking pills for thyroid and I am using pill pockets. They are slightly sticky cat treats with an opening for a pill. I squeeze it around the pill and he has taken every one! If your vet doesn't have them, I can get you a bag. Sure beats sitting on a sick kitty.
Oh Tigger, you are a sneaky one! We're gonna hafta try that next time we gotta take some yukky pills!
