Grandma's gone :(

Well, the Grandma came & left. (This was the human Mom's mom.) We all had a great time, although mom & grandma spent quite a bit of time out eating Mexcian food--almost every day! I actually didn't mind that, as they brought me home leftovers that, for the most part, were quite tasty. They also planted flowers, walked in the park, and spent a lot of time focused on ME. Yay! It was gorgeous while grandma was here, but it rained the day she left. That was appropriate as I was very sad, so I hid under the covers. (See picture.) I wanted to thank everyone for their comments. Mom has gotten back to some of you,  we'd especially like to thank Whicky Wuudler for his suggestion on the cat blogosphere. You all are very nice. It'll be nice getting to know you, and we appreciate your kind comments.
Okay, gotta go climb in the back of mom's computer chair. I like to sit there and bite her in the butt while she's working. (See picture.) Adios everyone!

Rare rainy Sunday

Well, Mom has been busy, so she's been neglecting my blog. Her apologies. School has gotten a little crazy lately. and I tried to tell her that is NO EXCUSE! What is most important here? ME! Anyway, she'll hopefully be better around Mar. 12. Then she'll be off for 2 weeks, and she'll have more time to write.

I'm so excited, the "Grandma" is coming a week from tomorrow! That would be the human Mom's mom. I really adore her--the Grandma, and can't wait for her to come and sweet talk me. I wish the human Mom's Dad was coming too, but he's not. Last time he came, he made me really good shrimp, and blackened salmon. I'm a little crazy that way--I LOVE spicy food. Weird for a kitty, I know, I know, but I do LOVE it. Anyway, he's not coming, but he'll be in my thoughts. I know the Grandma will spoil me while she's here.

Other than that, it was (as the title suggests) a rare, but very rainy Sunday here in the desert. It rained and rained, and I hate rain.I like to blame everything on my Mom...including the rain, so I let her know of my displeasure, through long, loud, inharmonious howls today. FINALLY the rain let up for a short period of time, and she took me outside with her. I thought about climbing the tree in the picture, but decided not to. Anyway, thanks for the last comments. I really appreciate them, and am working very hard on returning those messages. Like I said before, Mom is new to this, and will return the thanks as soon as possible.
Thanks again everybody. Ta ta for now.

Hello World!

Mom wanted me to write and say how excited and surprised she was, when she checked my blog and found all my new friends and followers! She said to tell you all THANK YOU, and she'll be checking out your blogs, sites, etc, and messaging you very soon. Please bear with her--she's new to all of this, and I often feel, she's not what you'd call "the sharpest knife in the drawer"--but we have to give her a break--she is after all, HUMAN. I'd like to think she has a firm grasp of the obvious! Okay, enough of the human bashing. I do have to thank you all personally, as my new celebrity status earned me BOTH halibut and chicken today. I don't know how long this will last, but I'm going along for the wild ride! I think the more you follow, the more I'll get! I always knew I was destined for greater things...
Regarding today, I have to say after the feasting, I was a little annoyed with Mom. When she is home, I expect to be the center of THE universe. She actually had the nerve to go walking in Freestone Park today, AND she's posting a picture of IT (see picture of Freestone Park) to show you what a beautiful February day it was today. S0 no picture of me this time. HOW RUDE! Luckily this is a 3 day weekend for us, and I'll get to abuse, I mean ridicule, I mean use her again tomorrow and Monday. Time to go watch the Olympics from Vancouver. Thanks again, and adios from AZ for now.

Superbowl Sunday!

Well, last year Mom went skiing on this weekend...she made it home for the last part of the game...just in time to see the Cardinals almost win :(. This year the skiing is the best it has been in 15 years where she goes, and she doesn't have the money to go...SO she's feeling sorry for herself! BOO HOO. I don't feel sorry for her. I'm just happy to be alive. At least now today, I will get to torment her, and I will get to eat chicken and halibut as I choose. I think I'll sleep in the Jeep for a little while again, then maybe get up and howl, not sure yet. One thing is for sure--when that stupid football game comes on, I'm out! (I found out the other night, however, that I'm quite fond of the Suns.) Anyhoo, Mom wanted me to say, "GO COLTS!" She really likes Peyton Manning. Okay all, ta ta for now. (PS--See another cute picture--I was a little bigger then, so couldn't quite fit in the chair.)

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Mom is watching football---I don't like it...she gets too loud. Plus, she's having a hard time deciding who to root for--She likes both Eli Manning and Bret Favre--pronounced Fav-Ruh in my book, and in the movie "Something About Mary." Anyhoo, I've just been sunbathing. I like to look out at my garden, with the DOOR OPEN! (See picture.) I don't necessarily like to go out, just like to have the control and power to lay right in the open door. Who cares about flies, bugs, and lizards?
I also discovered a few more things I love/hate today.
Love: Pillsubury Garlic Butter Crescent Rolls, (which is weird, 'cause I'm a CARNIVORE)
Hate: Jillian Michaels Workouts. Mom's been doing them to get in shape. She loves them! She hops all over the living room, with this lady yelling at her. I try to get just underneath her legs when she's lifting them up, so she can't put them down, and has to stop. It is so funny, and...I WIN!
Mom wanted me to write every once in awhile about past experiences...since we've had many of them together. A long time ago we lived in Chandler, with, in my opinion, a large, grotesque, shrek-like creature, that she once in awhile called her "boyfriend." YUK. Anyway, I often used this human for feeding purposes, but mostly enjoyed tormenting him. I would wait until he or his friends passed out on the couch...then would hop into the sink in the guest bathroom. When they would stumble off the couch, and into the bathroom--bam! Shock, fear, wonder, (I'd like to think) filled their hearts and minds, as they questioned reality and their surroundings observing a sink fulla kitty! (See picture.) Oh that was so fun.
I also enjoyed biting the heads off any flowers Shrek chose to bring home for Mom...those were the days!
I am, however, so much happier in my home we've been in for many years. I graciously share it with Mom, as she provides decent food, water, warmth, and snuggling when necessary. Okay, time to go. Mom's lost it..Bret is kicking Eli's team's you know what! Have a great Sunday. Ta ta for now!

Relaxation and GET AWAY!

Mom spent most of the day cleaning, as she has to head back to work on Monday after 2 weeks off. She'd like to think that I'll miss her! She had that stupid vacuum going most of the day--I hate that. So, I retreated to one of my favorite spots--the driver seat of her Jeep--in an enclosed garage of course (see my cute picture.) I only got out to get some Spicy Chicken, and to let her know of my displeasure. Hope everyone's 2010 is going great so far!

Happy New Year!

It's a new year, a new day, and finally time to start a new blog! I'm a Norwegian Forest Cat named Tigger. I am 20 years old. No really, I am. I have a 44 year old single Mom--a teacher, former ski bum, who often questions the validity of her life, and life in general. That is of course, until she usually takes a look at me. I put it (life) all into perspective.

I spend my days, lounging, sleeping, playing, howling, EATING, then repeat, not necessarily in that order. I often have to listen to the endless babbling of humans, blah de blah de blah! They (humans) have their uses, but they (their uses) are limited. Please see my picture. I know...so cute. Check back later for further updates. (Ski season is upon us, so my Mom may be gone more than usual! More time for me on the computer, and more revenge for her when she comes home!
