Livin' Large

Okay, so mom has had a ton going on...new school year...tough start...30 kids...but the main reason she wasn't writing was-- she took me to the vet as I was howling, and not doing very well.
Granted, I'm over 20, and she knew the news couldn't be good....and it was not good.   The vet told mom I have serious thyroid and kidney problems. So I have started on chicken flavored meds twice/day. Mom didn't want her remaining memories of me to be sad ones, so she was not going to write about all of that, but the mom's dad, convinced her once again to write about the most interesting thing in her life, ME :). Thank God for her Dad. Anyhoo, I have been faithfully (somewhat) taking my meds, and mom has noticed a marked improvement. I go in for bloodtests again in about a week, and mom is encouraged, as I have been much more back to my old grouchy self. We all know our old bodies can't live forever, but old souls like ours will go on an on! Much love to you all.

My sisters and I send you our best purrs sweet Tigger. Only you will know when the time is right.

Many purrs and much Light to you, Tigger. Annie is hyper-t, by the way, was diagnosed last September and she was only 9. If it's hard for your mom to give you the methimazole, it can be compounded into a gel that get applied to the inner ear tip. Much easier than trying to swallow pills!

Sending many purrs for you. I know it has to be tough on your mom, but it's good to remember the good times and the CB is a wonderful place to record memories.

OK Abby for a second time has walked across the keyboard and wiped off my comments.......

Tigger we are so sorry that you have not been feeling well, although we are glad to hear that since going to the vet things are better. We are also sorry your Mom has been so worried, although we totally understand her worry. Tell her that blogging will help her in so many ways. Momma started blogging to keep the everyday memories of us and she is glad she did.

We will keep you in our purrs...

Tigger, you sure are a pretty kitty. Glad you got on the meds for your thyroid and kidneys. We have had lots of kitties here with those problems and they lived a long time on the medicine. Hope you are doing better now.
Have a great week end.
